EB SHIFTING TOOL

INTRODUCTION

EB Sliding Sleeve Shifting Tools are designed to selectively locate and shift most sliding sleeves. This is accomplished by the shifting tool keys engaging the sliding sleeve insert, and depending on the direction the tool is run, up or down, the SSD is shifted.

The spring loaded shifting keys are run in the expanded position and will latch into the shifting profile in a sleeve of the correct size. When the shifting tool is run with shear release keys, the key assembly is sheared out and collapsed back under a protective housing once the shifting operation is complete

FEATURES

• Proof of completed shift-as soon as a shifting operation is completed, an attempt to repeat the same operation without locating the shifting profile indicates that the shift was performed.

• Emergency shear release feature- the automatic release shifting keys can be shear released if the shifting tool does not fully disengage.

• Open or close sleeves in one trip- the shifting tool can be run with the upper tool set to shift up and the lower tool set to shift down allowing for both opening and closing operations to be performed.
